National Juried Competition 2013: Works on Paper
The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences encourages emerging artists as well as those with established reputations to participate in the National Juried Competition: Works on Paper. The purpose of the exhibition is to showcase contemporary works of art made on or of paper that reflect innovative use of the medium, technical excellence, and personal vision. Submissions may be, but not limited to: pencil, pen and ink, gouache, watercolor, oil, acrylic, digital prints, etc. All entries must be original and must have been executed since 2009. Please include a resume and artist's statement along with your submission.
The 24th Annual Juried Arts & Crafts Festival
The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences and Renaissance Craftables are pleased to announce that the application deadline for the 24th Annual Crafts and Fine Art Festival is being extend to May 1, 2013. The Festival takes place on July 20 & 21 on the grounds of the LBI Foundation of the Arts and Sciences and has something for everyone including jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, fiber, clay and more.Applications require 4 images of your work plus one of the booth you will be setting up.

ANNUAL BOARDWALK ART SHOW 2013
The Ocean City Arts Center's 51st Annual Boardwalk Art Show will be held the first weekend in August, Friday through Sunday, August 2 through 4, on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Participants may sell their work from 10 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. The event is sponsored by the Ocean City Arts Center at 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City, New Jersey.

The Ocean City Arts Center's 51st Annual Boardwalk Art Show will be held the first weekend in August, Friday through Sunday, August 2 through 4, on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Participants may sell their work from 10 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. The event is sponsored by the Ocean City Arts Center at 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City, New Jersey.
Artists have participated in this event for several decades because of the more than two hundred thousand visitors over the weekend that view the work, many of which purchase art at this show. In addition, the Arts Center takes no commission during this weekend.
Oils/acrylics, watercolor, drawing/hand-pulled prints, and photography are the categories eligible for this show. Prizes range from the Purchase Award of an artist's work to the $500 Best of Show, $350 Second Place, $250 Third Place, $200 Mayor's Choice and (3) Honorable Mention Awards at $100 each.
The Boardwalk Art Show is a great value at $125 per space for three days in front of an audience of hundreds of thousands of visitors and vacation home owners. MONMOUTH FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
The Monmouth Festival of the Arts is this weekend from
Saturday to Wednesday. It is a great display of art including jewelry,
photography, sculpture, ceramics and paintings. It is not to be missed.
Saturday evening is the gala reception but it costs $60. It
runs through Wednesday and admission is only $8. They have demos every day.

Monmouth and Ocean County over the last 6 years but not as the sole artist. I
have been really busy creating some fresh new pieces for the show.

There will be a "Photography Happening" at Stockton College with portfolio reviews by Vernon Ogrodnek, photo editor of the Press of Atlantic City, Wednesday April 3rd from 11 am until 1:30 pm and ends with a free presentation by Cape May photographer and magazine publisher David Todd McCarty at 6:30 pm on April 4th.. There will also be workshops by videographer Frank Weiss and commercial photographer Alex Anton as well as a free presentation by renowned NYC conceptual photographer Michel Tcherevkoff on April 3rd at 6 pm and other portfolio reviews .
