Well I am busy painting up a storm, preparing for my solo art show in May. My eye has gotten a little better but I basically use one eye to see.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

The sixth volume of “International Contemporary Artists” a series of international art books is in progress. A juried committee is selecting contemporary artists to be featured in the book. Artists can apply by sending 4-5 images of their work in JPG format by email and a short statement or essay, no more than 100 words.

All media are accepted.

If the artist’s work is selected it will be presented in the book in an one-page layout containing images of his work, the essay or statement and his contact information.

Virginia Perle Art Gallery

I just visited a beautiful art gallery in beautiful downtown Toms River called Virginia Perle Art Gallery. Ginny Perle is a master watercolorist and her gallery, just across from the river, is charming and I recommend you visit it. I recently attended a great presentation entitled " The Nuts and Bolts of Photography" by Bill Kirms at the Ocean County Camera Club. If you are a photographer I highly recommend that you check out the club. See  "Camera Club".under the "Links of Interest" to the right.

Also there is a website called see.me www.see.me that allows you to share your photos worldwide.I have not tried it yet but it might be worth checking it out.

Still can not see out of my left eye following cataract surgery. Looks like I will need a corneal transplant.

But I have been busy preparing for my first ever Solo Art Show in May at the Ocean County Artists Guild.I am trying for a contemporary look. Here is one or my most recent Oil paintings. This is a Pallet knife painting of the birtches of my back yard with the ocean  and tulips added.

ARTISTS BEWARE Here is an email I received recently that is a scam! I know it is because I have been approached before  in the same manner and the same wording.
